About
Janine La Rosa
Janine has worked across a wide range of sectors and is still in a C-suite role today. She has held Chief People Officer and Chief Organisation Strategy roles in billion-pound organisations, led teams of up to 200 people, and worked alongside CTOs to successfully deliver multi-million-pound infrastructure projects.
That experience means she understands, first-hand, the hard decisions senior leaders carry — and the cost of making them in ways that drift from one's values. Her work is built on a different premise: leadership beyond performance, where the quality of the decision is inseparable from the quality of the leader making it.
Janine has built a reputation and brand as an expert in equality, diversity and inclusion — having led the development of a workforce race strategy for London's 250,000 NHS employees and sponsored a once-for-London approach to addressing sexual harassment. She has been at the forefront of leading organisation transformation and culture change across a range of sectors, and is well equipped to meet the people she coaches — and the organisations she works with — where they are, and support them to clarity of aspiration and a purposeful approach.
She discovered the value of the pause following health issues that forced a long, hard look at the real impact of racing at 100mph. She is a busy mum of two and a working executive — so she understands the juggle, and is well placed to support others through it.
Joy — and deepening her understanding of it — was a turning point: a recognition of the importance of real connection to self and to others.

A practitioner's path
Manipura Leadership grew from a question Janine sits with in both her executive work and her doctoral research: how do we develop leaders equipped to navigate complexity? Her answer points inward as much as outward — to attention, to presence, to the quality of relationship a leader builds with themselves first.
Her interventions draw on contemplative practice — particularly the steady, accessible discipline of meditation — alongside evidence-based coaching, applied research and the lived texture of senior leadership.
Three threads of work
- Executive coaching — long-form one-to-one work with C-suite and board-facing leaders.
- Meditation & wellbeing — including the Manipura Empowered Pause course for perimenopause and menopause, and bespoke wellbeing workshops.
- The Joy Series — gatherings that create space in leadership for joy as a strategic, regenerative force.
